FOTD: Going Clubbing!

for a night out with my ladies I did this look, some curl of the hair and really light but sweat proof makeup. When you dance you sweat so you don't want anything that will run and bleed...aka look nasty! My makeup is clinique superfit makeup, waterproof mascara, powder blush, eyeshadow for liner because powder stays put better than liquid, cream or gel and of course lip gloss.

Stila Make and Impression in Moscow Palette

This is one of 7 $10 travel palettes that Stila released and I must say I am in LOVE with this palette. I think the color combination is much more unique, coppers browns and then suddenly a pop of blue. Its really versatile and can be played up really naturally or really funky and fun. I think this is a palette that a lot of people will like and can relate to.

5 Lipsticks and 5 Lip glosses for Winter!

Winter doesn't have to be a season of gloom and darkness, you can really play up dark colors in a colorful statement making way. Or you can still play it subtle and let your eye makeup get all the attention. Here are my 5 top picks of lip glosses and lipsticks that are perfect for winter.

Let's start with the lipsticks:

from left to right: E.L.F. luscious liquid lipstick in Ruby Slipper, Bare Escentuals Buxom lip gloss in Brandi, MAC dazzleglass in Radiant Jewels, MAC lip gloss in electric fuschia, and Chanel glossimer in 04

the lipsticks from left to right: MAC viva glam lipstick in Cyndi, Clinique long last lipstick in Honeynut, Estee Lauder signature lipstick in 27 Copper Glow, MAC lipstick in Bubblegum, and Lancome color design lipstick in Love It

These shades are in a range of pinks, browns and red and vary from price range for cheap to expensive. I think there is something here for everyone and every kind of personality.

Loreal HIP Pigments in Exciting, Restless, Visionary and Tenacious

During the CVS 75% off sale I picked up a bunch of the loreal HIP pigments because I heard great things about them and they were so cheap! only $3.20 each! Below are the pictures and swatches of the four that I got, warning picture heavy!

Loreal HIP pigment in Exciting, its white with purple and pink reflects to it so its duo toned

Loreal HIP pigment in visionary, a dupe for MAC's melon pigment

Loreal HIP pigment in tenacious, reminds me of MAC cranberry or bronze eyeshadow although not exact dupes

I can't say how good of dupes these are to MAC products because I don't have MAC vanilla or melon. However, the quality of these pigments are fantastic. I swatched everything dry so from the pictures you can see how amazing the pigmentation of the colors are. The pigments are not as fine as MAC pigments, they are a little bit on the chunky side but they don't really cause much problems for me. There is fall out just like there is always fall out when you use pigments but that's easy enough to take care of. I love these products, especially given the price so 5 out of 5 stars!

O.M.H Oh My Hauls!

I've been having serious issues recently, I can't stop hauling! I really want to blame the cvs 75% off sale but I know its not really, that's just the excuse I'm using, my scapegoat per say. Before I start elaborating, here's  what I hauled:

from CVS, I got four loreal HIP pigments and the garnier nutritioniste eye roller not to mention the revlon twinkled pink lipstick a week before that.

and I also got the sally hansen color quick nail polish pen in a metallic silver chrome color. It was 75% off so I got for like under $2 but I HATE IT! HATE! its probably the worst nail polish I ever used. I love the color but the polish in the pen comes out either too much or too little and then it dries so fast so that the bristles get stiff and stuck.

Then I went to forever 21 and cotton on, I got a black faux leather purse and the gray and navy blu striped sweater vest as well as a circle scarf. I got the black aviator sunglasses for about $2.20 which if I may say so myself is a great find.

Then I went to this beauty supply store in montebello california and they had false lashes for $1.75, yea thats right $1.75. They are 100% real human hair and they are really great quality. They come in natural and dramatic, I got a mix of both.

if you are interested the address for the beauty supply store is:

Creations Beauty Supply and Salon
1432 W. Beverly Blvd.
Montebello, CA 90640

Garnier Nutritioniste Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller

I saw this at CVS and although it was a whopping $13.99 I just couldn't resist getting it. I've been seeing the commercials for it and it sounds made for me. It has the caffeine formula that targets dark circles and puffiness like the original garnier eye roller but it has an additional mineral formula that conceals dark undereye circles as well. I was really skeptical as to how well the concealing part would work but much more curious to try it and see how well the formula of the product works for targeting undereye circles over time. I tried it and the first time I fell in love with it. The concealer comes in only one shade but I'm relatively fair so it fit well for me. It blended in easily and it definitely make the dark undereye area look less noticeable. The caffeine definitely woke me up and made my eyes less puffy. Then I started to put it in my mini fridge because I wondered if the cooling effect would make the formula work even better and low and behold it does! And its a great pick me up to have something nice and cool to make me up in the  morning. 5 out of 5 stars! It is a little pricey for drugstore so if you can wait for a sale or coupon, I would recommend that.
